Summer Date

About one of my most favourite things to do is enjoying a day off with one of my recently, close, very elegant friend Summer. We strolled around Larchmont Village today and passed up a movie and music video being recorded.

Ate at Larchmont Bungalow, where I must have had the BEST veggie soup (shiitake and white mushrooms, carrots, green onions, spinach, and delicousness) I've ever had. I'm not vegetarian or vegan or in any strict diet, but the soup just sounded perfect on a heavy afternoon. It was perfect. They serve breakfast all day so Summer ended up getting Huevos Rancheros. Must have been the perfect over easy egg I have ever seen. We enjoyed a soy latte and an iced black tea for a late afternoon pick me up.

Shopped on Larchmont Ave and ended up at Library because they had their summer sale. I mostly just end up taking photos during this time while Summer tries on clothes. But we both genuinely adore admiring different types of cuts and fabrics, feeling the unique blend of materials, and oogling on jewelries. Summer loves vintage, and  I mean LOVES vintage that her entire apartment looks like a full page spread from Anthropology magazine. So most of these photos are dedicated to her.

We also checked out some greens and blooms at Rolling Greens at Beverly for her new apartment. As well as the Goodwill where we scored a half off deal on some jewelry and dresses. Summer snatched a gem with a Kodak Hi-Mat 8 projector that is still in mint condition. Can you believe it? One hour in that store and you never know what you'll walk out with.

 The texture and details all these places have expresses how much time and dedication to creativity. I feel so fortunate to live in a city where every nook and cranny has a place of inspiration, as well as people driven to utilize their surrounding environments.
